Bible reading today:
Jeremiah 43 and 44, Psalm 86, Proverbs 8, Galatians 5-6.
Today’s scripture verse:
Matthew 6: 9-10. Therefore, you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
So when we speak of prayer to God, what thoughts cross your mind? Do you think reverently towards God, or do you have a doubt in your heart that He exist? I feel that today this is more relevant than not. For those who do pray and talk with God do we have a spot of selfishness in our hearts, so that all we pray is for what we want? I’m just saying; the bible does not teach this. So many, including believers, try and use prayer to get their own way, and not God’s way. As we said before, our prayers must be compatible with God’s will and His way. Sometimes that may be our will and our way, but other times it may not and God’s will is accomplished. Regardless what we try to accomplish through our prayers, God’s will, and desire, will be accomplished, so let’s forget ourselves and lay down as a living sacrifice to Him so that His divine will can be accomplished through us. We will be the better for it.
First John 5:14-15. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
