Today’s scripture(s) verse:
1 Corinthians 15: 1-8
Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.
Through our journey in the Bible, we have seen the warnings all through history of God warning mankind that this time would come. The prophets predicted, through the Holy Spirit, that God was a jealous and loving God, and it also warned the people of consequences of being un-faithful. So all through history we have God dealing with mankind, first through the nation Israel (Old Testament) and then through a man called Jesus (New Testament). Jesus showing us how we should live and be in the world, then He took our sins on the cross and changed the world and history forever. The Holy Spirit comes at the day of Pentecost and empowers man to accomplish great miracles. Later in the New Testament we have the Apostle to the Gentiles, Paul of Tarsus. Through Paul we have the door opened unto us of “Gods Amazing Grace.”
It is taught here, by the Apostle Paul, that we must believe on Jesus in our hearts of His death, burial, and resurrection, and then we will be saved by the Grace of God, and that it is a gift and cannot be earned or purchased. This is the great truth of this time of which we live.
