Today’s scripture(s) verse:
Revelation 4: 1-3
The Throne Room of Heaven
After this I looked, and there in heaven was an open door. The first voice that I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” Immediately I was in the Spirit, and there was a throne in heaven and someone was seated on it. The one seated there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian stone. A rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald surrounded the throne.
Jesus addresses the seven churches of Asia Minor (Turkey) through the Apostle John. Each one receives a message. The message to the Church of Laodicea is found in Chapter 3, of Revelations, around verse 14, what is important about this is, it is the last time the word, “CHURCH” is mentioned. This message brings us to the end of chapter 3. The word church is never mentioned again in the remainder of the bible, why? Because it is raptured, later in the scriptures it refers to the church as “SAINTS,” “BRIDE OF CHRIST.” When we look at Chapter 4, we join John in the Throne Room of God the Father, and there are 24 elders sitting around God’s throne, who are these folks? I believe they are representative of the raptured church, their seats or thrones are a reward of authority in the millennial kingdom and their crowns are crowns of reward from the judgment seat of Christ. The white raiment shows their righteousness, which has now been judged and purified.
