Today’s scripture(s) verse:

2 Peter 3:10

The Day of the Lord

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

Jesus rarely comes where or when we expect Him, He appears where and when we least expect Him, and always in the most illogical connections.  In order for us to be true to God is by being ready for the Lord’s surprise visits. If we are going to be ready for Jesus, we have to stop being religious and be spiritually real.  If we are “looking and focused on Jesus,” and we avoid the call of the religious age we live in, and set our hearts on what He wants, and on thinking on His line, we will be called unpractical and dreamy.  But, when He appears in the middle of our burdens, and in the heat of the day, we will be the only ones who are ready.  Please, trust no one, not even the finest saint who ever walked this earth.  We must ignore him, if he hinders us and our sight of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
