When I think of sin, I see all the sins the bible teaches that we are commanded not to do.  For instance the 10 commandments.  Yet in each of us there are hidden secret sins, that many of us have entertained for years and are actually part of our life.  Now I know this is not everyone, and as the old saying goes, “If the shoe fits, wear it.”  Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Anger, Creed, and Sloth, are known as the seven deadly sins.  These stand out because they are rough to deal with.  Our personality and inner self’s is hard to bring under control.  Gluttony and Lust are two very good ones.  Going to eat and stuff ourselves to the point of being uncomfortable, or drinking too much, which can lead to alcoholism.  The body has a worldly desire and lust, this could be, but not limited to, food, drunkenness, sexual activity, and any sin that makes the soul and body feel good.  Old saying is, “If it feels good, do it.”  Not so my friends, usually if it feels good there might be something wrong or sinful about it.  We are to be holy, for God is holy.  Our body is a Temple that houses the Holy Spirit of God, and it behooves us to remember this, for the bible says, “We lay naked before God, and nothing is hidden from Him.”  Therefore our secret desires, lust, sinful activity, and the like may be hidden from the populace of the people, but is never hidden from God.  Remember, “Do not fear them that can only destroy the body, but fear Him that can destroy the body, soul, and spirit.”  Amen.
